The car was filmed testing
Porsche is already testing a flagship SUV that will take that title from the Cayenne, which has led the company's crossover lineup for the past 20 years. Coming in 2027 is the all-electric K1, revealed for the first time in new spy shots.
It is clear that some parts of the Porsche K1 body will be replaced by the time of release, but the overall shape is already noteworthy, while the car is equipped with production lamps, and not standard lights, as carscoops writes.
The Porsche K1 looks long, low and wide, with enough space between the front and rear axles to make room for a third row of seats. Unlike the new Macan EV, which has a split headlight, the K1 has all the LED lights together.
There is no air intake in the center grille because the K1, like the Taycan, runs on electric power only. While the Taycan is based on VW's J1 platform, the new K1 will introduce an all-new SSP Sport architecture, which is an enhanced version of the core SSP platform used by VW Group brands. Porsche confirmed the existence of the K1 project last year with a teaser image of the SUV, although it did not go into detail about engine tuning or power.
Given that the latest Taycan Turbo GT produces up to 1093 hp, the most expensive versions of the K1 are also expected to have four-digit power.
