New problem with the clock widget

The OneUI 6.1 update, which brings new artificial intelligence features that debuted on the Galaxy S24, has brought a number of problems to Galaxy S23 users.

The latest bug introduced in the S23 series with OneUI 6.1 update is related to the clock widget on the lock screen. After installing the update, Galaxy S23 Ultra users reported that the lock screen clock widget resets its position, style, and font after a while. As Sammobile writes, this happens “quite often.” However, Samsung has not yet commented on the problem.

Another bug related to the notification on the lock screen was previously reported on the Samsung community forum: the first swipe down on a notification would open the notification panel instead of expanding it on the lock screen. The user noted that this is mainly due to the clock/widget being overlaid on some component of the notification bar or fingerprint area. He advised changing the position of the clock/widget.

If we talk about new useful functions, the phones now have a “Translator” mode, which provides translation of your personal conversations in real time. Samsung's keyboard now offers the ability to change tone, check spelling, make suggestions, and translate messages. Built-in photo editor in the «Gallery» application allows you to move, delete people and objects in any image, as well as resize them. Generative fill is supported to create or expand the background.

Previously, the company canceled the distribution of One UI 6.1 firmware for the Galaxy S22 line.
