His camera will make sure that the user does not “fall out” of the frame during a video call

Philips has introduced a curved ultra-wide monitor 49B2U6900CH, aimed primarily at use for work purposes. The large 48.8-inch display has a 32:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 5120 × 1440 pixels, refresh rate — 75 Hz, brightness — 450 nits, contrast — 3000 : 1, and viewing angles — 178 degrees. As for color rendition, it claims to cover 97% of the NTSC color space and 119% — sRGB.

The screen curvature of the new Philips monitor is 1800R. A useful feature of the new product is a 5-megapixel webcam, especially convenient for group video calls: it will automatically adjust so that all participants in the conversation are included in the frame, and if someone leaves the field of view, it will also automatically reconfigure. In addition, the camera position can be adjusted back and forth by 30 degrees, so that a person of any height can get into the frame.
