These are nickel alloys

United Engine Corporation, part of Rostec, announced that it has begun producing PD-8 engine blades for the Russian short-haul airliner SJ-100 using new technology.

Parts are manufactured in the new foundry complex of the Rybinsk enterprise «ODK-Saturn» from the latest heat-resistant nickel alloys. In the future, these alloys can be used in new Russian gas turbine engines.

Previously it became known that domestic seats for the SJ-100 passed the first part of the qualification tests, but not immediately, but on the third attempt.

The first flight of the SJ-100 with the domestic PD-8 engine is scheduled for the beginning of this year, and delivery of about twenty production aircraft is planned by the end of 2024.
