Recently, the Desert Landscapes modification was introduced for Fallout New Vegas. The modder under the nickname friendlynonmurderingsort wanted to make the game world so beautiful and interesting that there would no longer be a desire to resort to the fast travel function.
He was inspired to create the Desert Landscapes project by the blog The Lucky Thirty Kate, where photos of real locations analogous to those that can be seen in Fallout New Vegas are published, and the Bird and Hike resource also helped in the work (the modder added vegetation using the available data).
This is not the first modification of friendlynonmurderingsort, so he dragged some things from his mod portfolio into Desert Landscapes. For example, the Realistically Trashed Water mod, which adds a “realistic amount of trash” in the Lake Mead area.
In general, the world of Fallout New Vegas has not only changed in appearance, but has also become more “alive” “: in some locations he added packs of stray dogs, graffiti, posters and many other details (the list can be found in the mod description under the spoiler).
