Nothing was said about desktop Ryzen

Commenting on the results of the last financial quarter, AMD CEO Lisa Su spoke about the company's plans for the current year.

In particular, new processors based on the Zen 5 architecture are definitely waiting for us, and in several segments at once. In the second half of the year, AMD will release both Ryzen Strix consumer mobile APUs and Turin generation Epyc server APUs. The company did not mention the desktop Ryzen 9000, but there are already so many leaks about them that they should also be expected in the fall.

Our priorities for 2024 are very clear: accelerate the growth of our data centers by increasing GPU production and increasing the share of our Epyc processors.

Looking to the future, we are very excited about the next generation of Turin Epyc Zen 5 processors.

We test drive the Turin and it looks great. Turin's significant gains in performance and efficiency enable us to capture an even larger share of both our own and third-party workloads. In addition, our server partners are developing 30% more Turin platforms compared to the fourth generation Epyc platforms. Turin remains on track to launch later this year.

Later this year, we will also take the next major step in our AI PC roadmap with the release of the next generation of Ryzen mobile processors, codenamed Strix. Customer interest in Strix is very high, driven by the significant performance and energy efficiency improvements we deliver.
