Following Asus, MicroStar International has verified the new generation of Ryzen chips. The motherboard manufacturer is hiding the name of the product, calling it simply a “next-generation processor.”

BIOS installed on MSI AM5 motherboards is currently limited to a few models and is based on a modified AGESA 1.1.7.0 patch.

While octa-core and six-core versions have already appeared in leaks, it appears that motherboard manufacturers have received early test samples of AMD's Ryzen Zen 5 processors. They allow manufacturers to test chips in advance in order to release a stable BIOS version at the start of sales.

The next generation of processor architecture from AMD, Zen 5, will replace Zen 4. Although information about there is not much new architecture; according to leaks, Zen 5 promises a 15% increase in inter-processor communication compared to Zen 4. The most noticeable improvements will affect the cache memory and core architecture, which will receive a larger cache size compared to Zen 4. < /p>

Zen 5 is expected to release in June 2024 at Computex 2024. The only motherboard manufacturers with the AGESA 1.1.7.0 update will be Asus and MSI, but Gigabyte, ASRock and other AMD motherboard partners should follow them coming soon.

The report confirms that AM5 motherboards will support the Ryzen 9000 series. This shouldn't come as a surprise since AMD has already promised to support AM5 until 2025.
