Developers say Dimensity 9300 Plus features a “best-in-class generative AI engine”
MediaTek today officially introduced the flagship single-chip system Dimensity 9300 Plus. The developers say that this SoC is equipped with a “best-in-class generative AI engine”: it supports LLMs such as Alibaba Cloud Qwen, Baichuan AI, ERNIE-3.5-SE, Google Gemini Nano, Meta Llama 2 and Llama 3 .
The processor is three-cluster, consists of one Arm Cortex-X4 core with a frequency of 3.4 GHz and three Cortex-X4 cores with a frequency of 2.85 GHz, as well as four Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 2 GHz. GPU — 12-core Arm Immortalis-G720 with second generation ray tracing engine.
The platform supports cameras with a maximum resolution of 320 MP and allows you to record 8K 30 fps or 4K 60 fps video. Maximum screen resolution — 4K (at 120Hz frame rate) or WQHD at 180Hz frame rate.
Dimensity 9300 Plus delivers truly powerful performance. For example, Vivo X100s (which will be the first smartphone with Dimensity 9300 Plus) scores 2229 points in the single-threaded Geekbench 6.2.0 test and 7526 points in the multi-threaded test. For comparison: the results of the Galaxy S24 Ultra on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 — 2168 and 6770 points respectively. That is, MediaTek again released a platform that turned out to be faster than Qualcomm’s top solution (albeit not by much).
