True, the price difference is only between the basic versions
Mazda today announced the price of the newest crossover CX-70. The model is presented only on the US market, and there the base CX-70 (this is the CX-70 3.3 Turbo Preferred) is priced at $42 820. For comparison: the price of the basic version of the flagship crossover CX-90 — 39 220 dollars.
But the differences in price are only for the basic versions — all other variants of the CX-70 cost the same as similar versions of the CX-90. This is how it turns out that there are fewer seats in the car (the CX-70 is strictly five-seater, while the CX-90 has three rows of seats), and the price is the same.
The cost of all versions of the Mazda CX-70 looks like this:
- CX-70 3.3 Turbo Preferred — 41 820 dollars;
- CX-70 3.3 Turbo Premium — 47 275 dollars;
- CX-70 3.3 Turbo Premium Plus — 50 275 dollars;
- CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium — 53 825 dollars;
- CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium Plus — 57 325 dollars;
- CX-70 PHEV Premium — 55 775 dollars;
- CX-70 PHEV Premium Plus — 58 825 dollars.
CX-70 and CX-90 are equipped with the same units: 3.3-liter inline six-cylinder turbocharged engines in two power options (280 hp and 340 hp) and a plug-in hybrid powertrain , as well as an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both models already have all-wheel drive as standard.
