The Tank brand overtook Toyota in sales in Russia in November
As «Rossiyskaya Gazeta» writes with reference to «Avtostat» and data from JSC «PPK», in November about 1.9 thousand Tank frame SUVs were sold in Russia. And this sales result is better than that of the more affordable Jetour and «parallel» Toyota. It turns out that «tanks» Land Cruiser sells better.
In fact, in November the Tank brand entered the top 10 most popular brands in the Russian car market for the first time. And this despite the fact that Tank’s market debut in Russia took place in the spring, and the line is represented by only two models – Tank 300 and Tank 500.
Head of Sales Department «Tank AutoSpetsCenter Vnukovo» Anton Panferov explains such popularity of Chinese SUVs by the fact that in the current conditions they have almost no competition in their (premium) segment. Indeed, European and American frame cars are not officially supplied to Russia, and the «Chinese» mostly represented only by crossovers.
