Minus 1.4-2.2 thousand dollars from the price of the 2023 car
Over the past couple of weeks, BYD has introduced a ton of improved and more affordable sedans and SUVs to the Chinese market, and now it's the turn of the minivan segment. The company introduced Denza D9 2024 in China.
This model became the most popular in its segment last year, and now it has become not only a little better, but also cheaper: the rechargeable hybrid version has fallen in price by 1.4 thousand dollars, and the version with an electric power plant became more affordable by 2.2 thousand dollars.
Externally, the car has not changed much — with its large radiator grille it still looks like the class icon Toyota Alphard. Rear — monolight and spoiler on the trunk lid at the top. New for the 2024 model year, power sliding rear doors are now standard equipment. Dimensions of the minivan — 5250 x 1960 x 1920 mm, wheelbase — 3110 mm.
The Denza D9 is available in both a 7-seater and a luxurious 4-seater version. In front of the driver — head-up display and digital instrument panel with a 10.25-inch diagonal screen; on the front panel as part of the media system there is a 15.6-inch diagonal screen. The steering wheel has been updated: touch keys have been replaced with traditional mechanical ones, and a heated steering wheel is now in the basic version. There are also more mechanical buttons on the center console.
The top four-seater version received luxurious individual seats on the second row with electrical adjustment in 18 directions (the seat itself, separate pillows and backrests), as well as an 18-point massager. A large screen is installed in front of the rear passengers.
Denza D9 is offered in eight versions: five — hybrid, three — with a purely electric powertrain. Basic versions — front-wheel drive (hybrid power — 370 hp, electric car — 313 hp), top-end — all-wheel drive (431 and 374 hp, respectively). The maximum power reserve of the hybrid — 1050 km, electric car — 620 km. Prices — from 47.2 to 84.3 thousand dollars. According to BYD itself, more than 10 thousand pre-orders have already been received for the purchase of Denza D9 2024.
