Externally, it is almost no different from Tiggo 8 Plus
The Chinese Ministry of Industry published live photos of the Chery Tiggo 8 hybrid crossover — Tiggo 8 C-DM. The car looks almost no different from Tiggo 8 Plus.
It is interesting that the car was supposed to be released under the Fengyun sub-brand (like the Fengyun T8), but now it is shown under the parent brand Chery. There are two explanations: either the company for some reason changed its mind about releasing a hybrid under the Fengyun brand, or we have an export version of the car in front of us — for foreign markets.
Tiggo 8 C-DM will obviously be very economical, but so far all the characteristics of the power plant have not been disclosed. The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Trade only reported that the car received a 1.5-liter SQRH4J15 engine with a capacity of 156 hp. An engine of the same power is used in the Fengyun T9, so it is possible that these models will be unified in terms of power plants. If so, then the Tiggo 8 C-DM will have an electric motor with a capacity of 204 hp and a single-stage DHT transmission.
The dimensions of the Tiggo 8 C-DM are 4730 x 1860 x 1740 mm, the wheelbase is 2710 mm. The car will be equipped with wheel rims with a diameter of 17 to 19 inches.
