The carrying capacity of the future open-pit KamAZ will be 220 tons

KAMAZ creates a new especially heavy truck – with a lifting capacity of 220 tons. Thanks to unmanned technologies, such a dump truck can be used in extreme conditions. But such a model will also be useful in ordinary production: the drone will increase productivity by reducing the number of downtimes and increasing the speed of work.

At the moment, the second stage of theoretical research has been completed in the project of a new 220-ton dump truck, a preliminary design has been developed and a technical project has been created for a digital dispatch system for a coal mine. It is planned to complete the implementation of all received developments by 2027.

On the Russian market, the new KamAZ product will compete primarily with BelAZ equipment, but Komatsu, Caterpillar and Liebherr vehicles can also be considered competitors.
