iPhone now has 33%
CIRP analysts note a decline in iPhone share in the US market, based on the number of new activated devices.
Over the past four quarters, iPhone activations have fallen from 40% to 33%, the lowest in six years. At the same time, six years ago there were still smartphones on the market running alternative operating systems, such as Windows Phone or BlackBerry OS. Now they are gone, and it turns out that the situation has returned to six years ago for iOS, and Android has actually absorbed the shares of all other OSes.
As for the iPhone's share in the US market, at the end of last year it was 39%, which was not the minimum result in recent years.
