Three models with slight differences in parameters and price
HMD Global presented the first smartphones under its own brand. There were three of them at once: Pulse, Pulse+ and Pulse Pro.
The new items look the same, they have similar parameters and similar prices. These are all fairly budget devices.
The screens of all new products are identical. It is a 6.65-inch IPS panel with HD+ resolution and 90Hz frequency. All three new products are based on the Unisoc T606 SoC, all have at least 4 GB of RAM, although there are versions with larger capacity. The base model has 64 GB of flash memory, the older ones — 128 GB each.
Also, the basic one has a camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels, while the older ones have a resolution of 50 megapixels. In addition, neither model even has an ultra-wide-angle camera. The battery capacity is also identical — 5000 mA·h. At the same time, only the Pulse Pro can even be called fast charging (20 W), while for the other two devices it is 10 W.
Prices in order of seniority of models start from 140, 160 and 180 euros. Considering the parameters, it’s difficult to say that these are good prices.
True, the new HMD products still stand out in some ways. The company is emphasizing repairability, saying owners will be able to purchase DIY kits from iFixit to repair smartphones themselves. But this only applies to replacing the battery and screen.
