Sony intends to release the PlayStation 5 Pro before the end of 2024. The company has reportedly asked developers to ensure games are compatible with the new device, focusing on improved ray tracing.

Sony expects the PS5 Pro to render approximately 45% faster than the standard PS5. The new console will be three times faster at ray tracing tasks thanks to a “more powerful [new] ray tracing architecture,” an updated graphics chip and faster system memory.
