Auto.ru analysts identified the most popular motorcycles in Russia: the leaders were the BMW S 1000 RR sportbike and the classic «cruiser» Honda Gold Wing (GL 1800). Moreover, both on the market of new motorcycles and on the used market.
Among used models, the «cruiser» Harley Davidson Electra Glide, sports Honda CBR 600RR and Yamaha FJR 1300. Of the new motorcycles, the most interesting to Russians are the KTM 1290 Super Adventure S, BMW R 1250 GS Adventure and Bajaj Dominar.
On the secondary market, more than half of the offers are from the Japanese, and motorcycles from Germany and the USA account for approximately 10% each. Russian motorcycles account for approximately 5% of the market. Alas, the used motorcycle market is quite old: more than 50% are older than 10 years, 21% — motorcycles manufactured before 2004.
A used motorcycle in Russia sells on average for 600 thousand rubles, a new one — for 1.15 million rubles.
