The Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan has confirmed that from January 1, 2024, special signs will need to be installed on cars with gas equipment.

The department noted that this standard is mandatory, as it is indicated as a link in the Traffic Rules, which were approved by the Order of the Minister of Internal Affairs dated June 30, 2023.

Following negotiations between Russia and Kazakhstan, Russian President Vladimir Putin previously announced Russia’s readiness to create new production facilities for Lada cars in Kazakhstan. These may be additional factory buildings where production of cars from AvtoVAZ will begin. The President emphasized that Moscow and Astana are already collaborating on several large projects in the field of industrial cooperation.
