But it already produces AMD and Intel cards
ASRock has been producing AMD video cards for some time and, more recently, Intel adapters. But it does not produce Nvidia cards, and now it has become known why.
In an interview, an ASRock representative answered the question of what the company’s plans are and whether it is going to start producing GeForce video cards. It turned out that it is not so simple.
This is a rather difficult question. Companies that produce GPU-based video cards, both Nvidia and AMD — these are Asus, Gigabyte and MSI. These brands have been around longer than we have, and when they were founded, there were not only ATI and Nvidia, but also chipset manufacturers like Elsa and Voodoo. At that time, no one had a monopoly position. However, over time, Nvidia's dominance in the market became overwhelming, and a world emerged in which the production of video cards on Nvidia chips began to matter. I believe there are complex reasons for this. From the point of view of ASRock, which currently produces AMD and Intel adapters, it seems difficult to us to immediately begin production of GeForce
The ASRock representative did not directly explain what exactly the difficulty is, but from his words it is clear that it concerns precisely the fact that ASRock already produces video cards based on AMD and Intel GPUs. Perhaps Nvidia doesn't like this very much.
