iPhone 16 is unlikely to bring revolutionary changes
iPhone sales in China took a hit after the launch of the Huawei Mate 60 series with Kirin chips, Jefferies analysts said, claiming the trend will continue this year.
Jefferies estimates that sales of Apple's iPhone 15 series in China in 2023 were much lower than Apple expected. The year-on-year decline reaches 30%. At the same time, overall growth was observed in the Chinese smartphone market in December, with Huawei growing the fastest.
TechInsights also predicts that Apple won't have any major smartphone innovations in 2024, making iPhone 16 sales similarly weak, especially in the Chinese market.
The iPhone 16 line will be released only in September this year.
