Details have emerged about the Deepal L07 car, which is being created jointly by Huawei and Changan. The model will be available with electric and powertrain options, with an emphasis on smart technology.
Deepal L07 can be considered as a sister model to Deepal SL03, with SL03 being called L07 in Thailand. There are speculations that Deepal may rename its cars. Deepal CEO Deng Chenghao explained that Deepal SL03 will continue to sell even after the launch of Deepal L07.
Deepal L07 continues the design style of SL03 with some changes. The front end has been redesigned, with a through-type taillight featuring an illuminated badge in the middle, similar to the SL03. An electric rear wing appeared.
The vehicle dimensions are 4875/1890/1480 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm, and the curb weight is 1880 kg. The case length is 55 mm longer than the Deepal SL03, and other dimensions remain unchanged.
The EV version is equipped with a 185 kW electric motor (model XTDM33), and the EREV version is equipped with a 1.5L 72 kW engine (model JL469Q1) and a 160 kW electric motor. Both versions come with lithium iron phosphate batteries.
