Hidetaka Miyazaki gave an interview in which he was asked about the future of one of the company's brands, Armored Core.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon launched in August 2023 and was warmly received by reviewers and players. It was a big departure from FromSoftware's recent games. AC 6 was a success, as confirmed by the publisher and Miyazaki himself. The Japanese developer admitted that the series is important for the studio and wants to develop it further:
“The Armored Core series is very important for FromSoftware. We really want to continue it in the future. I think Armored Core VI was a success. On the other hand, not everything was perfect, and there is still room for improvement. Therefore, I do not intend to stop there.”
Although this should not be taken as an official announcement of the next project, it can be assumed that sooner or later the series will return. There are many game shows ahead for gamers, so there is a high probability that one of them will contain information about the next project of the Japanese studio.
