The Russian Government has partially extended the simplified technical regulations for cars until the end of 2024.

«The Government of the Russian Federation has decided to extend the validity of the national regulations for assessing the conformity of wheeled vehicles until December 31, 2024. However, from February 1, 2024, the requirements will be much more consistent with the technical regulations TR CU 018/2011», — commented in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

From February 1, engines of cars produced in Russia must meet an environmental standard of no lower than Euro 3. It is now possible not to equip cars with a stability control system until the end of 2024.

Recall that from December 1 last year, all cars produced in Russia must be equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS).
