Rockfish Games has announced that the EVERSPACE 2 Spring Update will update the game to Unreal Engine 5. The update will help future-proof the game so there are fewer issues with releasing updates and additions.
The studio does not plan to add support for Nanite or Lumen. The developers claim that their current solutions in the game already have better optimization than Nanite and Lumen. Thus, the update is not aimed at improving graphics.
Everspace 2 is a fast-paced single-player shooter with space and planetary exploration, mining, role-playing game elements, mining and crafting. The game in 2023 appeared on Steam in 2023 to positive reviews.
