Even Apple did not offer such monstrous all-in-one PCs. Alafia Aivas SuperWorkstation is equipped with a 128-core CPU and two Nvidia RTX

This is a very narrowly focused device

There are quite a few very productive all-in-one PCs on the market, especially after Apple stopped producing the iMac Pro. But the Alafia AI startup’s device stands out from any other PC of this form factor.

The unusualness of the Alafia Aivas SuperWorkstation begins with its design. The screen here is quite thick by modern standards, but all the stuffing isn’t hidden there, but actually in the vertical part of the stand, if it’s even correctly called that.

The dimensions of this element already hint that it’s not just some ordinary CPU hiding there. In practice this is true. The heart of the system is the 128-core Ampere Altra Arm processor, and it is supported by two professional Nvidia RTX adapters! The configuration also includes 2 TB of DDR4 RAM and an 8 TB SSD. This workstation is not aimed at the consumer market. Moreover, this is not even some kind of universal device for professionals. This is a dedicated PC for medical imaging. Software in this segment places a heavy load on the processor, which is why the developers chose a CPU with a huge number of cores. As stated on the Ampere website, Alafia Aivas SuperWorkstation — is a purpose-built clinical research device designed to solve the most demanding, data-intensive and interactive scientific problems using seamless Cloud to Edge Ampere processors.
