Today, March 31, at 12:36 Moscow time, the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. with the Earth remote sensing spacecraft «Resurs-P» No. 4. The first three satellites of the «Resurs-P» were launched quite a long time ago: from 2013 to 2016. «Resurs-P» No. 4 separated from the third stage of the launch vehicle in normal mode and was successfully launched into the desired orbit. 

This was the fifth launch of a Russian launch vehicle in 2024, including the third from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Device «Resurs-P» No. 4 is designed for surveying the Earth's surface for the purpose of studying natural resources, monitoring environmental pollution, searching for mineral deposits, monitoring emergency situations, creating and updating topographic and navigation maps. It allows you to take pictures with a resolution of 70 cm.
