Asus presented the Dali concept laptop based on the Zephyrus G14 gaming model. Built into the lid is a large E Ink color screen for seemingly endless customization options.
However, at the moment, the concept presented at the Computex exhibition will only allow the use of a few pre-created stickers or images generated by artificial intelligence.
According to an Asus representative, the 12-inch E Ink screen on the lid has a resolution of 1600 x 1200 and supports display of 6 primary colors.
Dali software allows you to resize and move stickers, as well as pre-loaded images. There is a selection of recommended wallpapers, «Manual editing» (you can enter text and move stickers) and «Customizable design» with image generation by a neural network. Installing the resulting design on the external screen takes a few seconds, during which the screen flashes.
