Chinese Actors are very demanding on fuel quality
Mercedes-Benz Actros have become one of the most popular «parallel» foreign cars in Russia: last year they were actively imported from China. But the first experience of operating such machines turned out to be negative: it turned out that Chinese machines are not adapted to Russian realities.
The fuel system of Chinese Mercedes-Benz Actros meets the strict environmental standards of China VI, so the exhaust system is complex. Of course, the truck is not designed to be fueled with Russian diesel fuel with a high sulfur content. «Adapt» Chinese Actros/Actros C to Russian fuel is not easy: turning off part of the systems does not solve the problem. But in addition to problems with fuel, there are others: short maintenance intervals, cold cabins, difficulties with original spare parts and technical documentation.
European tractors DAF, Mercedes and Volvo — are also available in Russia. these companies continue to produce trucks adapted for Russia and Russian fuel. But they cost much more than Chinese ones.
