Capcom reported excellent sales of the criticized Dragon's Dogma 2. First results and update

Capcom boasted of the success of Dragon's Dogma 2, despite the crushing criticism of the game from Steam and Metacritic users.

Dragon's Dogma 2 offers fun gameplay, but the game is technically difficult to follow. On consoles, the frame rate is unstable and regularly drops to around 25 FPS. On PC, you can get the project to run at 60 FPS, but it loads the CPU so much that even the RTX 4090 has difficulties without the next-gen processor.

Despite the problems, the game is selling well. Capcom reported that Dragon's Dogma 2 has sold more than 2.5 million copies. Sales of the entire series have exceeded 10 million copies.

An update for the Xbox Series X|S was released yesterday. The patch matches the changes that arrived on PS5 on March 29 (it gives the ability to turn off motion blur) and does not improve frame rate. Capcom has promised to address this issue in the next update.
