AvtoVAZ confirmed that the new business sedan Lada Aura, which will be put into production in 2024, will receive a «simplified» taxi version.
«A version for a taxi is planned, it is too early to discuss the detailed configuration yet», — stated in the AvtoVAZ press service.
It is not yet clear exactly how this option will differ. Presumably, these cars will be deprived of a number of premium options. The interior will be made of fabric (similar prototypes have already been seen before), there will be no multimedia system with a large screen, and the dashboard will be analogue, with arrows. Instead of a 1.8-liter engine, they can install a 1.6-liter VAZ engine, which will work together with VAZ mechanics.
Previously, Lada Aura prototypes with maximum equipment, which were intended primarily for officials, were shown to the public. 1.8-liter VAZ engine with 122 hp. works in tandem with a Chinese variator. The upholstery of the seats and steering wheel is made of genuine leather; a 10-inch multimedia system with «Yandex Auto» services is installed on the instrument panel. and digital instrument cluster.
