Amid the excitement surrounding the announcement of Astro Bot for PlayStation 5, questions have arisen as to why the game won't be available on PlayStation VR2.

It turns out that Team Asibi from the very beginning set itself the task of creating an experience outside of virtual reality.

Studio head Nicolas Doucet said in an interview: < /p>

“We focused on this game right after Astro's Playroom. We hoped that if it was well received, it would become a platform game that could hold its own and allow for a larger version to be created. So no, PSVR2 was not considered.”

Doucet added that when thinking about a game like Astro, if they were going to create a VR version, they would have to think and plan the design from day one of developmentj, “and if it's not a VR version, then it must be completely designed for that environment.” The creator believes that not all games can be hybrid and get a VR version.
