And ASML indirectly has a huge number of companies as partners

ASML, the world's largest, and in a sense the only, manufacturer of advanced systems for producing chips, said that further tightening of sanctions from the United States could greatly harm the company. < /p>

Geopolitical tensions may result in export control restrictions, trade sanctions, tariffs and, more generally, international trade regulations, which may impact our ability to provide our systems, technologies and services.

Our ability to supply technology to certain countries, such as China, has been and continues to be dependent on our ability to obtain necessary licenses and approvals. The list of Chinese businesses affected by export control restrictions has increased since 2022. These and further changes in multilateral and bilateral treaties, national regulation and trade, national security and investment policies and practices have affected and may continue to affect our business and the businesses of our suppliers and customers.

Given that ASML’s clients are the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturers, and their clients, in turn, are thousands of other companies around the world, ASML’s warning is unlikely to be ignored will it come out?
