It is still unclear when to expect it in games

Nvidia showed part of the Covert Protocol technical demo that it is creating together with Inworld. This is a whole small game in a detective style, but it is created to demonstrate not the graphics at all, but the Nvidia Avatar Cloud Engine (ACE) for Games technology.

The technology was shown last year. It allows you to create non-player characters (NPCs) endowed with artificial intelligence.

SDK for Unreal Engine 5 will allow developers to implement three main technologies into games: the same ACE, Nvidia Riva automatic speech recognition (ASR) and Nvidia Audio2Face (A2F), which is responsible for lipsync.& nbsp;

Artificial intelligence will make non-player characters more alive. They will be able to react more correctly and variedly to the player’s actions or words, increasing immersion in the game. True, developers will have to additionally work on this layer of their game so that the AI does not contradict what is happening in this very game and does not go beyond the image.

So far, even Nvidia itself has not said anything about whether any of the developers have taken this technology to work, so it is unclear when to expect the first games in ACE or whether to expect them at all.
