If you have AppleCare warranty, you will need to pay $300
Some Apple Vision Pro users report that cracks have appeared on the front glass near the bridge of the nose.
All users left Apple Vision Pro connected to the device's battery. Some believe that the problem may be related to charging the headset with the soft case on, which can cause an issue with the glass overheating. This supposedly causes a crack to appear at the weakest point of the glass.
When AppleInsider contacted Apple support about this issue, the site was told that they would have to pay a $300 AppleCare deductible to repair it. If the user does not use AppleCare, he will have to shell out $800.
The worrying thing is that the crack appears in the same place on all affected headsets. Apple has not yet commented on this issue and it is possible that the company will remain silent on this issue unless more similar reports begin to appear.
According to AppleInsider, affected users should contact Apple Support and ask for their case to be escalated to expedite the investigation of a potential defect in the device.
If this is found to be a widespread problem, Apple may be forced to create a special repair program to address the issue.
