Apple Vision Pro for $3500 received only 16 GB of RAM

Apple's upcoming Vision Pro headset features 16GB of unified memory, according to device-related files found in Xcode 15.2.

Macrumors' information confirms a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, which said the Vision Pro will come with 16GB of RAM. Xcode 15.2 officially adds support for VisionOS app development, and Apple now accepts these apps through App Store Connect.

In a press release this week, Apple confirmed that the Vision Pro will feature the Apple M2 chip, which delivers & input data from 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones. Apple also says that Vision Pro will create the effect of content appearing in the air in front of the user.

Apple's press release also confirmed that the Vision Pro will start at $3,499 in the US with 256GB of built-in flash storage. Macrumors confirms that some Vision Pro dev kits have been equipped with 1TB flash storage.

Apple has yet to share full specifications for the Vision Pro, which will be available for pre-order in the US starting Friday, January 19th. Sales will begin on February 2.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the launch batch of the Apple Vision Pro will quickly sell out, followed by shortages.
