Discounts reach $380
Apple has begun offering refurbished versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips, offering the laptops at a discount for the first time since their release in October 2023.
The release of refurbished models with M3 Pro and M3 Max chips in the updated Apple store took place two weeks after the refurbished entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M3 chip first appeared in the store.
Prices for these latest refurbished MacBook Pro models start at $1,700 for the 14-inch M3 Pro model with 11-core CPU and 14-core GPU, which is a $300 discount from the original starting price of 2,000 dollars. The 16-inch MacBook Pro starts at $2,120 for the M3 Pro chip with 12-core CPU and 18-core GPU, representing a savings of $380 over a new $2,500 device.
All refurbished Apple Macs are virtually identical to new products. They undergo a refurbishment process that includes a full functionality test, replacing all defective modules, as well as a thorough cleaning and inspection. Refurbished products are eligible for the AppleCare+ warranty and have the same 14-day return period as new Apple devices.
