Apple introduced iPadOS 18 during WWDC 2024. The update will appear in the fall, beta -The developer version will be available starting today, and the public beta will be available next month.
The update finally adds a built-in calculator to Apple tablets – 14 years after the launch of the iPad. Users no longer need to download third-party programs even to perform simple math operations.
The calculator is similar to the one found in iOS, but additionally supports Apple Pencil – you can simply write down calculations with the stylus. The program will solve them thanks to a feature Apple calls Math Notes.
Apple introduced Smart Script, a program that improves the appearance of text when writing using machine learning. The program is able to reproduce the user's handwriting, check spelling and write the typed text in the desired handwriting.
As with iOS 18, there are new ways to personalize your home screen and a personalized Control Center. It also adds a customizable pop-up tab that makes it easier to navigate apps.
