Today there was a big premiere of OnePlus – the company introduced the flagship OnePlus 12 and sub-flagship OnePlus 12R for the global market. In this news – about the last one.
OnePlus 12R (aka OnePlus Ace 3 in China) is built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 single-chip platform, the top version has 16 GB of RAM, but only 256 GB of flash memory.
The smartphone received an OLED BOE X1 screen, which in its characteristics is not much different from the OnePlus 12 screen. The display is characterized by a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a resolution of 1.5K and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Peak brightness reaches 4500 cd/sq.m. The screen supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision technologies, and is protected by tempered Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The main camera is represented by three modules: mainly a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor is used, complemented by an optical stabilization system. There is also a module with an 8-megapixel sensor and an ultra-wide-angle lens and a module with a 2-megapixel sensor for macro photography. Front camera – 16-megapixel
OnePlus 12R received an evaporation chamber with an area of 9140 mm2 – it's as big as the OnePlus 12 and 76% larger than the OnePlus 11R. The battery capacity is 5000 mAh, it supports 100 W charging. OnePlus 12R runs Android 14 out of the box and has IP64 protection.
In India, versions of 8/128 and 16/256 GB are offered for 480 and 555 dollars. In the US, similar options cost $500 and $600. Well, Europeans are the least fortunate: prices start from 700 euros.
