1.5K OLED screen with record brightness, huge cooling system and maintaining the original speed for 48 months
Today, OnePlus officially unveiled its latest smartphone in China, the OnePlus Ace 3. It's powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and is therefore not a new wave flagship, but it does offer a lot for its $370 price tag.
For example, OnePlus Ace 3 received an OLED BOE X1 – no worse than the OnePlus 12. The display has a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a resolution of 2780 x 1264 pixels, and a frame rate of 120 Hz. Screen protection is provided by durable Gorilla Glass Victus 2, PWM frequency adjustment – 2160 Hz, peak brightness – 4500 cd/sq.m.
SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 received a huge vapor chamber (the area is 9140mm²), so the developers managed to squeeze out maximum performance (1.74 million points in AnTuTu). The smartphone received LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0. The creators say that thanks to the new proprietary storage technology, OnePlus Ace 3 will work for four years as fast as if it was just taken out of the box today.
The OnePlus Ace 3 camera is represented by three sensors with a resolution of 50, 8 and 2 megapixels. Main sensor – Sony IMX890, the module with it has an optical image stabilization system. The ultra-wide-angle lens module uses a Sony IMX355 sensor.
OnePlus Ace 3 became the world's first non-gaming smartphone with a high-capacity 5500 mAh battery. Fast charging supported – 100W power, but no support for wireless charging.
Prices are as follows: 12/256 GB – $370, 16/512 GB – $425, 16GB/1TB – $495.
In three weeks the global premiere of OnePlus Ace 3 will take place: in foreign markets the smartphone will be presented as OnePlus 12R.
