Great Wall Motor announced the imminent release of a premium crossover brand, Wey, on the Russian market. Sales of the first model, Wey 05, will begin in February of this year.
Wey 05 is a hybrid crossover with a plug-in hybrid powertrain (PHEV) capable of charging from the grid. It will also receive synchronous electric motors on permanent magnets and will have compact dimensions and low weight.
Previously it was reported that on the Russian market Wey 05 will be offered with a gas-electric system, including a 150-horsepower gasoline engine and two electric motors. The combined power of this system is 295 hp, providing acceleration to 100 km/h in 5 seconds and an average fuel consumption of 7.7 l/100 km. The range with a fully filled tank and charged batteries reaches 864 km.
The Wey 05 salon is equipped with three screens: a digital instrument panel, a multimedia system screen and a climate control panel, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel and massage. The acoustic system has 12 speakers and an active noise reduction system.
