But Huawei is breathing down your neck
Honor continues to gain momentum in the global and domestic markets, and at the same time demonstrate success in the foldable smartphone market. According to recent data from Omdia analysts, Honor will produce more than 1 million such devices this year.
Among other things, this was facilitated by the success of the flagship model Honor Magic V2, which led the Chinese folding smartphone market in the third quarter. In fact, this model accounted for 80% of all sales of Honor folding smartphones.
At the end of the third quarter, Honor narrowly led the foldable smartphone market in the Middle Kingdom, occupying 28%. Huawei had 26%, so the companies are very close to each other.
But Samsung, which is in third place, lags behind them quite significantly, occupying 19%. By the way, for the Korean giant this can be called an achievement, since Samsung has always occupied only a few percent of the Chinese smartphone market.
In total, at the end of the quarter, 1.7 million foldable smartphones were sold in China, which is 77% more than a year ago.
