Zeekr reported a significant increase in vehicle shipments in January 2024, with 12,537 units, representing an increase of 302% compared to January last year. Then Zeekr delivered 3116 cars.
This surge in shipments comes amid the introduction of Zeekr's second model, the Zeekr 009, which began shipping in mid-January. Previously, the company's shipments were largely driven by its first model, the Zeekr 001. Zeekr's product line currently includes the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, and Zeekr 007.
Zeekr emphasized its commitment to safety and quality, highlighting that it has delivered nearly 210,000 vehicles without a single incident of spontaneous combustion. This achievement underscores the brand's focus on the reliability and safety of its electrical system (battery, motor and electronic controls) without external sources of ignition or human error.
In January, Lin Jinwen, vice president of Zeekr, said the company would not engage in price wars and set a sales target of 230,000 units per year. He also noted that by the end of January, orders for the Zeekr 007 model are expected to exceed 25,000 units.
Recall that Zeekr 001 became the most popular electric car in Russia last year.
