Microsoft is well aware that a large number of products are systematically appearing on the market – to help navigate this maze, the Xbox Indie Selects project was created.
Microsoft has found “a new way to highlight some of the best indie games” for the Xbox. With the new Indie Selects tab, players will have easy access to products that gamers may have missed due to the flurry of bigger games.
The ID@Xbox team will be offering games in different channels each Wednesday – the first will feature “Featured Indies”, that is, games that are worth paying special attention to. At the same time, the company does not want to promote Xbox Game Pass products, since it understands that they make their way into the minds of buyers much more easily.
The second channel will promote products related to weekly fun topics such as “games to play with your cat,” “funny games,” or “games for villains.” Another tab includes “games from around the world”, which are developed by independent developers from different countries.
Finally, once a month Microsoft will select the six best projects and award them with a prize “ Indie Selects.”
