Costs from 2620 dollars
Lenovo has released the next generation of the ThinkPad P1 (Gen 7) laptop, which is quite unusual from a technical point of view and generally unique at the moment. The bottom line is that for the first time on the market, it combines the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and the still very rare LPCAMM2 RAM.
We are already familiar with the processors. Here it’s Core Ultra 9. But the memory is still a curiosity. LPCAMM2 is a RAM module format. It is much more compact than the usual SO-DIMM, which is critical for thin and compact mobile PCs. And in terms of characteristics, this is a regular LPDDR5X-7467 with a capacity of 64 GB.
The laptop also offers two slots for an M.2 SSD, which is not often found in devices in this segment, a professional Nvidia RTX 3000 Ada graphics card and a 16-inch display with an aspect ratio of 16:10, which takes up 92% cover area. The laptop itself is very thin (17 mm). There are no other details yet, but the new product will go on sale in May at a price starting from $2,620.
