The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced manufacturer BYD as an official e-mobility partner for the European Football Championship (EURO 2024), which will be held in ten host cities in Germany from June 14 to July 14. Moreover, in the previous few years, UEFA's main automobile sponsor was Volkswagen.

BYD will contribute to UEFA's goal of organizing the most sustainable European Championship to date by providing different vehicles for different stakeholders during the tournament. BYD will also showcase its latest models and advanced technologies.

«We are pleased to welcome BYD, a pioneering brand with 29 years of experience in advanced battery technology and a reputation for global innovation in new energy vehicles, as well as the world's largest manufacturing company electric vehicles, as a partner of UEFA EURO 2024. The partnership is fully in line with UEFA's vision to promote a greener and more sustainable European Championship by combining the passion of football with UEFA's commitment to environmental responsibility. BYD — is an acronym for «Build Your Dreams», which fits perfectly with the European Championship, where players and teams tirelessly put their passion and hard work into practice to realize their dreams on the field and win the prestigious Henri Delaunay Trophy in Berlin on July 14& raquo;, — said Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA Marketing Director.
