Canalys analysts assessed the tablet market at the end of 2023. The market dropped as expected.
Over the year, 135.3 million tablets were sold worldwide, which is 10.3% less than in 2022. This may seem like a bad thing, but it’s worth remembering that during the COVID-19 pandemic, sales, including tablets, skyrocketed, and now the market is simply recovering. As you can see in the graph, now sales are still higher than in pre-Covid years 2019 and 2018.
Huawei, how do you do it? The company was able to get ahead of Apple and lead the Chinese smartphone market, albeit for only two weeks
Apple remains the market leader, occupying 40% of the total market. Samsung takes 19% and second place, and Lenovo closes the top three with a share of 6.9%. However, it is worth highlighting Huawei separately. While all the main market players recorded a decline, and Amazon’s sales fell by almost half, Huawei increased its supplies by an impressive 32.1%! Moreover, if you look at the results of the fourth quarter, Huawei’s growth there is almost double!
