Speed reaches 14.5 GB/s

SSDs with PCIe 5.0 interface take performance to the next level. Crucial showed off the T705, which offers read speeds of up to 14.5 GB/s.

Most of the latest PCIe 5.0 drives were limited to around 12-12.5 GB/s, so we can say that the next step has been taken in the development of this class of devices.

The T705 series will provide performance of up to 1.55 million IOPS for read operations and up to 1.8 million IOPS for write operations. The recording speed is stated to be 12.7 GB/s. All this is typical for the 2 TB model. The 1TB version is slightly slower, but will still provide speeds of up to 13.6 GB/s. There will also be a 4 TB version with speeds of up to 14.1 GB/s.
