United was supposed to receive 80 737 MAX aircraft this year 10
United Airlines — one of the largest US air carriers — published a financial report for last year, and it talks about the expansion of the fleet without Boeing 737 MAX 10 aircraft. A separate section of the report indicates the expected deliveries of aircraft and their number, so out of 80 Boeing 737 MAX 10 planned for delivery in 2024, now expected zero.
United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby did not directly announce the cancellation of the entire 277-unit Boeing 737 MAX order, but he did indicate the need to look for alternatives. United was expected to receive more than half of its total 737 MAX 10 order in 2024 and 2025.
«Due to delays in certification of the 737 MAX 10 aircraft, we are unable to accurately predict the expected delivery period», & ;mdash; United wrote in its financial report.
At the moment, even Boeing itself cannot clearly say when the Boeing 737 MAX 10 will be certified.
