T-Roc 2025 being tested in the European winter
The second generation Volkswagen T-Roc crossover appeared in live tests for the first time. In April 2023, Volkswagen announced that the new T-Roc would be the automaker's last new model with internal combustion engines — subsequent new products will be pure electric vehicles.
The car was brought out for testing in camouflage, it covers both the front and the back. However, it can be said that the second-generation T-Roc will be somewhat similar to the third-generation Tiguan introduced last year. The rear window is more raked than the first generation model, giving it a coupe-crossover look.
If the T-Roc 2025 looks similar to the Tiguan, then the units, apparently, will be borrowed from the Volkswagen Golf MK8.5 presented in January of this year. That is, the crossover will receive a pair of «soft» hybrid power plants with a power of up to 150 hp, a pair of plug-in hybrid systems and two diesel engines. It is unclear whether the second-generation T-Roc will include an «evil» version R, but if there is one, then it should receive units from the Golf R.
The official premiere of this crossover is expected in 2025.
