Before this it was only in the Canary build
Microsoft has released the function for limiting RAM consumption in the Edge browser from the Canary build to the regular beta version of the program.
Apparently, we can expect this feature to appear in the final build of Edge in the near future. Let us remind you that the function gives users direct control over the consumption of browser resources. When enabled, the RAM limiter can be applied during gameplay or enabled continuously to reduce Edge's memory consumption.
The minimum amount that can be allocated to the browser is limited to 1 GB. You can increase it in 1 GB increments.
Of course, if you set a minimum limit, this will have a very noticeable effect on the operation of the browser, since modern programs consume quite a lot of RAM.
